Season 2 of the ARC Championship is taking shape. The rules manuals are still being finalized. This note is an early look so teams can start preparing.
ARCC 2027 will offer 3v3, 1v1, ARCTIC, and — officially this time — the Aerial and Dart side competitions.
- 3v3 features the Hero, Sentry, and Engineer.
- 1v1 features the Infantry.
- ARCTIC features you.
- Aerial features the drone.
- Dart features the Dart launcher.
All mobile ground robots will use the small armor panel. The Engineer is getting a major redesign. It stays a mobile ground robot that manipulates game objects and still has a real effect on the match.
Version 1 of the ARCC 2027 Events Manual, Participant Manual, and Robot Building Specifications is planned for November 1, 2026.
The point of the changes is a new engineering problem that is not a return to the Heavy, while first-person projectile combat stays the core of the game. The three robots in 3v3 should ask for different software and hardware.
